Definition: This field indicates where the patient was admitted. Refer to User-defined Table 0023 - Admit Source for suggested values. In the US, this field is used on UB92 FL20 _Source of Admission_. The UB codes listed as examples are not an exhaustive or current list; refer to a UB specification for additional information.
Note: The official title of UB is _National Uniform Billing Data Element Specifications._ Most of the codes added came from the UB-92 specification, but some came from the UB-82.
