Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The specification browser needs no account at all. The message parser, terminology search, and cross-version search are free with a free account. Free accounts have API rate limits; offline mode works without limits.

Any request to the HL7 Workbench server for schema data, terminology lookups, or search queries. Client-side parsing in offline mode does not count against your limit.

The Pro plan is not purchasable yet. We plan to offer a free trial when it launches — details will be announced then.

You can continue using the parser in offline mode with cached schemas. Terminology validation and search require an active connection and count against your rate limits, which are per-minute and recover on their own.

Annual billing at a discounted rate is planned for when the Pro plan launches. Contact us if you are interested.
