RT Dose Storage

About this SOP Class

A SOP (Service-Object Pair) Class pairs an Information Object Definition (IOD) with a DIMSE service. In practice it's what two DICOM nodes negotiate when they associate — "I want to send you RT Dose Storage, are you willing to store it?"

This SOP Class is part of the current DICOM Standard. Its UID identifier is stable and can be referenced in Conformance Statements, SCP/SCU implementations, DICOMweb endpoints (as the SOPClassUID attribute), and Mirth Connect routing conditions.

Information Object Definition

This SOP Class transmits the RT Dose IOD — 18 modules spanning Patient, Study, Series, Equipment, and Image entities.
